National Day Holiday
Xinyi District this week is going to be absolutely terrifying. If you don't really have to attend an event, remember to avoid going there as much as possible. There will also be more traffic control situations. I heard there will be random checks at night too.

Comfortable
Really like this cool, rain-free weather. Perfect for going out, but I can't.

Old-Fashioned Taro and Rice Noodle Soup (Super Simple Rice Cooker Version)

When cooked in a rice cooker, the taro becomes fluffy and creamy, and the broth is full of the aroma of fried shallots and dried shrimp. Ingredients: 300g Taro (cubed) 1 bundle Rice Noodles (pre-soaked) 1 tbsp Dried Shrimp (washed and soaked) 2 tbsp Fried Shallots 100g Pork Strips (can be marinated with a little soy sauce and white pepper) Approx. 800-1000ml Water or Broth Seasonings: Salt, White Pepper, Sesame Oil to taste (can add some chopped celery leaves) Instructions: Layering and Steaming: Place the cubed taro, dried shrimp, and pork strips into the inner pot of the rice cooker. Rice Cooker Old-Fashioned Taro and Pork Rib Soup Noodles (or Rice)
Features: Crispy fried pork ribs and tender taro are a perfect match, with the essence infused into the soup base, releasing a rich aroma. Simple Method: Prepare Ingredients: Lightly rinse store-bought fried pork ribs to remove surface impurities. Cut taro into large chunks (lightly pan-fry or deep-fry them first to set their shape, so they don't fall apart during steaming). Assemble Inner Pot: Place the fried pork ribs, taro chunks, fried shallots, and garlic into the inner pot. Add an appropriate amount of water and broth. Season with a little soy sauce, salt, and white pepper. Rice Cooker Steaming: Add 2 cups of water to the outer pot of the rice cooker and press the start button. Assemble Main Dish: After cooking, you can separately boil some oil noodles or rice noodles and place them in a bowl. Generously ladle the cooked taro and pork rib soup over the noodles. Sprinkle with plenty of cilantro and chopped celery for a classic snack.

Is this something only I understand after growing up?
I wonder if anyone else feels the same way I do. When I first started my job, as soon as quitting time arrived, if my boss hadn't left and my colleagues hadn't left, even if I had finished my work, I wouldn't dare be the first to pack my bag. I always felt like the person who left first was 'not trying hard enough' or 'trying to slack off'. After changing jobs a few times and seeing different bosses' reactions, I finally saw a harsh truth about the workplace: 'Those who leave quickly at the end of the day are often the truly capable ones.' Half of the people who habitually stay late are slacking off, and the other half have poor work efficiency. Conversely, those who can disappear on time demonstrate clear goals for the day, sufficient stress tolerance, and the ability to get things done within the allotted time. Your boss might not say it, but they actually respect these individuals more. If you're still 'acting' busy in front of your boss at quitting time, you can stop now. It's a complete waste of your life. Now, as soon as quitting time hits, I'm always the first one to grab my bag and leave. I want to ask, are you brave enough to leave right on time now? Or does your company have even worse 'unspoken overtime rules'?
