Taoyuan Senior Love Card

The scope of use for the Taoyuan Senior Love Card will be expanded. The budget will increase from 490 million yuan to over 2 billion yuan. During a special report session at the Taoyuan City Council's extraordinary meeting on the 29th, in response to requests from both KMT and DPP councilors to expand the usage of the Senior Love Card, Social Affairs Bureau Director Chen Bao-min revealed that the expansion of usage has been confirmed. This includes purchases at farmers' associations, registration fees at medical institutions, use with 'love taxis,' and for sports activities. The budget will be increased from the current 490 million yuan to over 2 billion yuan. In the future, each unit will estimate its needs and allocate them to the Social Affairs Bureau. The implementation is expected next year, and the mayor will announce the expanded policy in early August.
