Stubbornness & Softness

People often say things they don't mean out of stubbornness, pretending not to care when they miss someone, hiding their desire to hold on in silence. Clearly reluctant to let go, they act like they can move on, only to realize their regret after losing it all. People also often choose forgiveness again and again out of softness, compromising their own needs, simply because they can't bear to hurt others, forgetting that they too deserve to be cherished. For the rest of our lives, may we speak with more honesty, and practice kindness with boundaries. Don't let stubbornness make you miss true affection, and don't let softness lead to your own suffering.
