The People in the Wall 13 (Original Novel, Suspense)
Chapter Thirteen: Lost Memories At 3:17 AM, Wang Jing'an repeatedly replayed the voice from the recording, "Brother is here." She began to suspect that Gao Zhenxiang's amnesia wasn't simply forgetting, but that he had repressed a terrifying memory. The next day, Officer Zhou accompanied Gao Zhenxiang to a counseling session. After hearing the recording, Gao Zhenxiang finally admitted that he remembered his father's violence but had specifically forgotten what happened after that night in the basement. He only remembered waking up injured in the hospital, with his mother telling him he had fallen down the stairs. Wang Jing'an asked him to draw the fragments he remembered. On the paper appeared a wall, a door, and his brother behind the wall. Gao Zhenxiang said he had heard his brother crying and saw a strange man enter the basement. The man's face was unclear, but he wore a black ring. He remembered the man arguing fiercely with his father, followed by a terrifying statement: "He can't be allowed to leave alive." Then, a faint child's voice rang out: "Teacher……

Author"Teacher... don't let Mom find out." After the voice disappeared, Wang Jing'an stood there, realizing for the first time that the secret Mrs. Gao was hiding might be more terrifying than Gao Zhenwei's disappearance.

That black ring and the truth your mother hid make the story 'inside the walls' increasingly chilling. The twist at the end, 'Don't let Mom know,' was truly brilliant, and I'm full of anticipation for what's next. Such high-pressure creation must be mentally taxing, so while you're building suspense, please make sure to give your eyes and brain adequate rest.
