Historical Setting: The story is set in 14th-century (1348-1349) Aquitaine, France, during the Hundred Years' War between England and France and the rampant Black Death. Protagonist Siblings: Players take on the role of Amicia, a noble girl, caring for her younger brother Hugo, who suffers from a peculiar illness. Escape Dilemma: The siblings must not only evade the brutal pursuit of Inquisition soldiers but also find a glimmer of hope for survival amidst tens of thousands of plague-spreading mutated rats.
