Recently, a citizen shared on social media that they found an invoice next to a payment machine and casually took it home. However, after the police reviewed surveillance footage and matched license plates, they were accused of theft and had to go to the police station to give a statement. A legal consultation platform pointed out that unified invoices have the nature of private documents and can prove transaction behavior, so they are not ordinary waste paper but legally valid documents.
