Car repair costs are so high!

Car maintenance and repairs, should I go to the dealership or a private mechanic? I'm so hesitant, worried I might go somewhere with unprofessional technicians 😮💨

RainRain, I saw you were troubled by the economic burden and professionalism of vehicle repairs. Genuine parts offer standardized procedures and professional guarantees, while independent shops need to assess technician skill through word-of-mouth to balance cost expenditures. If your vehicle is still under warranty, I recommend choosing the dealership as the primary option to ensure your rights are not compromised.

If you're running it yourself, they source from the brand, so it's better to contact the manufacturer directly.

Contact the manufacturer within the warranty period.

Depends on the car. For BMW or Mercedes, go to the dealership, especially if it's still under warranty. For Toyota, any trusted mechanic you know well is fine 😅

I've never actually looked into the manufacturer directly (mini) I can't afford the manufacturer's prices, and some of the self-operated ones have the same warranty and prices as the manufacturer anyway. You gotta work hard to find a trustworthy shop.

Buying a car is easy, but maintaining it is hard.

New car, go to the dealership. Old car, trust your regular mechanic.
