The People Inside the Walls - Extra 3: The Black Ring

Seven days after Gao Zhenwei disappeared, Teacher Zhang received an anonymous photograph. In the photo, a man in black stood at the school gate, wearing a black ring on his right hand. Behind him, it read: "Don't trust him." Ten years ago, Gao Zhenwei met K for the first time. K didn't approach, only leaving behind a piece of paper documenting Gao Jianguo's actions. "If you want to protect your brother, leave it to me." When Gao Zhenwei asked why he was helping, K was silent for a long time, only saying, "I used to think silence could protect people." It wasn't until Gao Zhenwei disappeared that K truly intervened. However, Wang Jing'an later discovered that K seemed to have known things would happen. She re-compared the photo with the ring from Gao Jianguo's murder scene and finally found a difference: K's ring had an engraving on the inside, while the one at the scene did not. "Someone is imitating K." Wang Jing'an immediately notified Officer Zhou. That night, she received a new photo. Ten years ago, K stood behind Gao Zhenwei, and in the distance, there was another person. That person was also wearing a black ring on their right hand. Wang Jing'an finally understood. There was never just one person wearing a black ring. Just then, three knocks came from behind the wall. Knock. Knock. Knock. Then, a child's voice softly said: "That person... isn't K." Wang Jing'an looked up, and her phone lit up again. The last message read: "Teacher Zhang knows his name." In the next second, another sentence was added: "Unfortunately, she's already dead." There was a final, soft sound from behind the wall. Knock. The answer seemed to be hidden in the last piece of data Teacher Zhang left behind. Extra 3 - End
