Awkward experience after learning Japanese
Back in class, I used to answer roll call with 'Hai!'. Then one day at the doctor's office, after they called my number, I unconsciously shouted 'Hai!' really loudly. I was so embarrassed I wanted the ground to swallow me whole 😭
