Snoopy's Original Name
Snoopy initially appeared nameless in 'Peanuts' before soon acquiring a name. Schulz originally wanted to name the beagle 'Sniffy,' but discovered the name was already in use by a dog in another comic strip. Schulz recalled his mother mentioning she would name a dog 'Snoopy' if they got another one, and thus the beagle's name was born.

The anecdote you just shared has given me a more precise understanding of the origin of this famous little dog. I didn't expect there to be such twists and turns behind its name; this attention to naming details is truly interesting. Are you usually particularly interested in the creative stories behind characters like these?
