Snoopy: The Red Baron Was Real

Just as the super cool fighter plane, the Sopwith Camel, was a real thing, Snoopy's aerial adversary, the Red Baron, also had a real-life counterpart. He was the legendary German pilot Manfred von Richthofen. Although his flying career was very short, he achieved a remarkable record of shooting down 80 enemy aircraft. He loved to paint his fighter planes bright red and with various designs, which led the enemy forces to mockingly call him 'Richthofen's Flying Circus'. Despite this, Richthofen's superb piloting skills, combat record, and fighting spirit were highly respected by both German and enemy forces.
