A Day of Foolishness

So, here's what happened. I always use wired earphones when I go to work. One day, while listening, the sound from my earphones gradually faded. Eventually, it disappeared completely. I panicked, thinking, 'Did I really go deaf?' I turned the volume all the way up and kept opening and closing videos. 'Oh no, is my left ear gone for good?' I thought. So I quickly unplugged them to listen to the outside world. 'Ah, thankfully I can still hear my colleagues typing on their keyboards.' Then I started looking for the cause. Suddenly, I remembered that wired earphones have a volume control on the cord. I had turned it all the way down. I must have accidentally touched it earlier, and it scared me to death. In just three minutes, I went from heaven to hell. I desperately searched for a glimmer of hope in despair. Turns out it was just a silly mistake on my part~
