The Yule Lord

A 2021 Taiwanese film, quite good to watch!! 'A-Lun' Shi Xiaolun (played by Kai Ko), who died from a lightning strike, arrives in the underworld with all memories of his past life wiped clean. He must make a choice: reincarnate as a snail or become a deity, accumulate merit, and then reincarnate as a human. A-Lun decides to become the Yule Lord (matchmaker god) and partners with the hot-tempered Pinky to carry out missions in the human world. When A-Lun meets the dog A-Ru and his owner Xiao Mi, all his past life memories return, because Xiao Mi was the love of his life before he died. A-Lun hopes to help Xiao Mi in the human world find a new romantic partner, but every red thread tied to Xiao Mi's hand is inexplicably burned away. Meanwhile, Gui Toucheng, who also travels from the underworld to the human world, embarks on a bloody revenge mission, seeking out the bandit brothers who betrayed and killed him 500 years ago. While A-Lun is still rejoicing about not being able to tie the red thread for Xiao Mi, Gui Toucheng targets Xiao Mi as his next victim for revenge. In the end, A-Lun helps Xiao Mi find a partner.
