Cat's 'Military Training'

Today is September 3rd, Armed Forces Day, and the neighbor's orange cat, 'Yukbao' (Meatbun), has decided to 'enlist'. At 7 AM, Yukbao stood precisely on the windowsill, 'saluting' everyone passing by below – though it was just asking for food, its tail held straight like a proper attention stance. Its 'superior officer' is 'Amo', the black cat next door, who patrols the community garden daily, 'escorting' out any stray cats that invade. With a glorious record, the community residents have dubbed him the 'Chief of Security'. At noon, assembly time, both cats appeared punctually at the cat restaurant (actually a food bowl set up by a kind auntie) at the alley entrance, sitting in a row waiting for their meal. Their disciplined demeanor even made passing dogs sigh in admiration. In the evening, 'returning from leave', Yukbao snuggled into its owner's arms, purring, instantly switching back to 'spoiled brat soldier' mode, completely forgetting its valiant appearance from earlier. The owner chuckled, "You know, soldier, you're only serious when you're begging for food." Yukbao blinked, as if to say, "This is called strategy!" 😼
