Midnight Diner ~ Steakhouse (Rev.)

Volume 53 (Trial - Part 2) Recap: How dare you... underestimate me! Look at Xiao Pei's puffed-up face! At that moment... I knew! She seemed to have forgotten the win/loss condition! Our condition was whoever wins, treats! Whoever loses, eats! Judging by her current state, she wants to win more than she fears losing... Finally, the last moment of closing time arrived...! Xiao Pei was supposed to finish up, and she was falling behind! Suddenly, the boss called me away... We talked for about 3-5 minutes! When I turned back... I thought Xiao Pei had won! Unexpectedly! Xiao Pei showed quite the sportsmanship! Seeing me get called away! She waited until I returned, Before continuing her closing tasks! Suddenly she called out softly, 'I'm done!' she said, looking at me triumphantly, 'Xiao Zhi, you lost!' Me: 'I definitely won! How did I lose?' Xiao Pei: 'I finished, and I was faster than you, so of course I won!' Me: 'Did you forget! We just said the winner treats!' Xiao Pei: 'Suddenly sobered up! You... you're bullying me...' 'A bet is a bet. Then later... you pick what you want to eat!' After work... we walked through the night market, she quietly... Waiting for me to make a choice! Seeing me suddenly stop in front of a shop! 'Let's eat this!' Xiao Pei followed my gaze. Xiao Pei: 'This is... steak!' Me: 'Yeah!' Xiao Pei: 'But didn't we also make steak!' Me: 'We did! Is there a rule against eating steak after making steak?' Xiao Pei: 'But... what if someone sees us?' Me: '? Sees us? What do you mean?' To be continued...
