Encounter in October 2018---Part 1 (The story is too long, so I divided it into two parts)

One day in October 2018, I arranged to visit some cats with a volunteer from a temporary shelter. When we entered the room, the volunteer let all the adoptable cats out of their cages to interact with us. My husband and I sat right in the middle of the floor, with cats wandering all around us. Then, one cat quietly sat to my right. It didn't rub against me, didn't look at me, and didn't make a sound. It just sat beside me quietly. Then, as if noticing this, the other cats, when passing by him, would deliberately swat him, hit him, or ambush him and run away. But he still didn't make a sound, nor did he make any move or retaliate. He just kept sitting there quietly. I looked at him, and he didn't look at me. So I told the volunteer, "I'll take him!" The volunteer looked surprised and asked, "Are you sure?" Me: "Yes!" That night marked the beginning of our encounter and mutual affection. One evening in late November the following month, the volunteer brought you to my home, and your free life in your new home began. That night, you were still quiet, and as usual, you first surveyed the entire environment. Only after confirming it was safe did you start eating. You cleaned out a whole bowl of wet food, leaving nothing behind. My husband even said, "This child is so well-behaved, eating so cleanly, knowing to cherish food." I thought to myself: I was really lucky with my first adoption ❤️ After a month, once you got familiar with us, you started vocalizing, and that's when I discovered your meow was different from other cats~ It wasn't a soft meow, but a loud, mama-cat-like cry 😺 At first, we were a bit unaccustomed to it, and your loud meows even disturbed the neighbors 😅 -To be continued-
