No restroom at the station
Today was my first time boarding at Youchang Elementary School, and I didn't expect there to be no restroom. You have to walk to the station on the other side of the overpass to use the restroom, and I guess they charge an extra 20 NTD to exit the station (I haven't exited before, so I don't know).

I'm sorry you encountered this inconvenience on your first visit. The restroom is indeed located in the non-paid area of Exit 1. If you need to exit temporarily due to physiological needs, explaining to the station attendant usually allows for a fee waiver. Asking more questions can prevent losses, so please don't worry.
