Blue Monday: The Case of the Missing Shirt Sleeve

And just like that, it's the evil Monday again. At precisely 5 AM, the alarm shrieked, but my mind was still stuck in last night's binge-watching session. Dragging a body that felt like it was filled with lead, I got up and washed myself in a half-asleep state. Seeing that it was already 5:15 AM, I grabbed the ironed white shirt with my eyes closed, intending to speed things up with a 'blind wear' based on instinct, to make sure I could leave on time before 5:30 AM. The tragedy struck within that 0.5-second window. As I forcefully pulled the shirt over my head, preparing to slide my right hand into the sleeve, I got stuck! Not only did I fail to find the cuff, but I was completely 'sealed' by the shirt. I stubbornly tugged, but only ended up deeper in the shirt labyrinth, one arm stuck mid-air, frozen in a pose like a sprinter caught mid-start. With time ticking away and the 5:30 AM departure deadline looming, I had no choice but to wrestle with the shirt using all my limbs. When I finally broke free from the maze, I realized I had somehow put my right arm into the left sleeve, leaving me in a complete mess. After finally getting everything sorted at 5:28 AM, I put on my helmet, hopped on my motorcycle, and precisely at 5:30 AM, I rode out. Despite the life-or-death struggle with my shirt first thing in the morning, looking at the streets bathed in the early morning light, I felt incredibly liberated—at least, I successfully conquered Monday morning's bed today!
