Midnight Diner ~ Steakhouse

Volume Seventy-Six Recap: Eyes dead inside... (Speculation! Part Six!) After hearing it, the two breathed a sigh of relief (It felt like... Good thing the secret wasn't discovered!) and exchanged a smile...! I slapped the table: Ah! I got it! Did you two induce vomiting! How else could it be? The two were startled by the sudden slap on the table... Pae's food got stuck in her throat, almost choking her... Rue got scalded by the soup... My apologies to you both, I startled you... Me: So, did you induce vomiting? The two said in unison: No way! We don't like wasting food, and besides, it was so delicious, why would we throw it up! Actually, you startled us both, so you're paying for this meal... Something felt off, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it... Fine! Chew your food more and eat slowly... . Take your time, ladies, I've already paid! I'll be going now! The two quickly called out to stop me, asking me to wait until they finished eating so we could leave together! How can we leave together! I'm on the right side of home, and you two are one on the left and one behind... Or at least wait until we're done eating! Unable to refuse them, I had no choice but to wait until they finished... About half an hour passed... . Don't go home too late, ladies... . Suddenly, the owner appeared again... Me: Owner, you didn't follow them, did you! Owner: What are you talking about! You two are hanging around here so late, aren't you going home? Owner: Rue, hop in, I'll give you a ride home. The owner glanced at Pae, then looked at me, Zhi, you take her home... . To be continued...
