Sunlit Stream Race

Sunlight dappled through the dense canopy, casting golden specks onto the clear stream. Deep in the serene forest, Rip and Pompo were preparing for a swimming race. Spectators were already gathered by the bank: Lulu bounced excitedly up and down, while Dai squatted quietly on a mossy rock, eyes fixed on the water's surface. As a golden leaf drifted downstream, the race officially began. Rip leaped into the water like an arrow released from a bow, paddling furiously and kicking up sprays of snow-like foam. Pompo wasn't to be outdone, their round body moving with surprising agility in the water, closely chasing Rip and surging forward, leaving a trail of cheerful splashes on the surface. "Go Rip! Go Pompo! Go Rip!" Lulu shouted excitedly, the little stars on her head twinkling, wishing she could jump in too. Dai, though silent, perked up their sensitive ears and gave a slight wag of their tail, their gaze locked onto the two figures in the water. The stream grew swift, and the race intensified. At a rapid current, Rip suddenly leaped, trying to gain distance; Pompo skillfully used the momentum to keep pace. The two friends chased each other, neither giving way, their默契 (mòqì - unspoken understanding) and joy evident amidst the splashing water. Finally, as they touched the large rock on the bank, it was almost a dead heat. Rip and Pompo gasped for air in the water, then looked at each other and burst into laughter. For them, winning or losing wasn't the point; the greatest joy was swimming freely in this beautiful forest, sharing the sunlight and the splashes with their best friend. Rip wanted me to draw him looking majestic while swimming... But the picture kind of looks like he's running... Ah well, I did my best 😑
