This indicates that the Kaohsiung LRT is gradually becoming an important mode of transportation for students commuting to and from school, integrating further into students' daily lives from a circular rail transport system in the city center, becoming the students' 'low-carbon new era school bus'. The MRT Bureau stated that the LRT line connects seven schools, including Da Rong High School, Chung Hwa Arts School, Kaohsiung Industrial High School, Shu Te Home Economics & Commerce Vocational High School, Tao Ming High School, National Kaohsiung Normal University Affiliated High School, and Jui Xiang High School. Students can use the LRT to travel between home and campus, and transfer to six other transit hubs, including Kaohsiung MRT Red Line (Aozidi, Kaixuan stations), Orange Line (Sizihwan station), and Taiwan Railways (Museum, Gushan, Dashun stations). The expanded rail network extends the scope of commute services. Judging from the changes in passenger volume, student commutes have become a significant base load for the LRT's weekday ridership. Further analysis of station ridership reveals that among the 38 stations on the entire line, three of the top 10 stations by ridership are major commute stations near schools. Among them, C28 Kaohsiung Industrial High School station has accumulated 380,000 trips, ranking 6th; C29 Shu Te Home Economics & Commerce Vocational High School station has 370,000 trips, ranking 7th; and C1 Lizinei station, near Jui Xiang High School...
