Punching bag deflated, pedal cars flipped, smoking in no-smoking zones – Kaohsiung's amusement park becomes a 'mirror for bad be
The 'Kaohsiung Family Fun Park,' located on the former site of the Kaohsiung Railway Workshop, has been immensely popular since its opening on August 8th. However, after just over a month of operation, serious damage has been reported on several of the park's attractions. The punching bag in the 'Boxing Forest' has been completely destroyed and deflated. This facility is designated for children under 12, but many adults, passing by and feeling 'itchy hands,' have swung at it forcefully, causing immediate damage. The pedal-powered track cars have also seen frequent damage, with visitors intentionally pedaling rapidly despite clear signs stating 'Brake, ride slowly.' While the rotating seesaw is restricted to children aged 5-12, adults have been seen violating the rules by riding it. Furthermore, some parents have been smoking in the seating areas of the park's parking lot, ignoring the 'No Smoking' signs. Chen Chin-hung, Chief Secretary of the Kaohsiung City Parks Department, stated that the park regularly inspects and maintains the playground equipment. Any discovered malfunctions are subject to safety controls and are generally repaired on the same or the next day. The park covers 1.5 hectares and is staffed by over ten management personnel on weekdays, increasing to about twenty on weekends. Recently, around 30 to 40 volunteers have been recruited to assist. The Parks Department urges the public to carefully read the usage regulations for each facility before playing, to use them correctly, and to cherish public facilities together, refraining from wanton destruction. It's easy to imagine what kind of children can be raised by adults with no morals, no respect for rules, and no public spirit... The future is worrying 😑 Instead of recruiting volunteers, it would be better to change it to a 'Paid Entry + Fines' system. Guaranteed to drastically reduce the damage rate 🙄 Also, those facilities clearly meant for children would have half as many adults, who think their weight is low but their intelligence is no different from a child's, hogging them 🙄

Sigh... a significant portion of people still lack public morality. The government kindly provided free spaces for citizens' leisure and recreation, but many don't know how to cherish them and end up destroying them. In the end, it's the general public who suffers the loss.
