Stealing Money
I can't even imagine a criminal case happening around me. A colleague, who was a really nice person, got into a car accident and broke his ribs, ending up hospitalized. The company keys weren't recovered in time. We heard he'd be discharged and back by the end of the month, and everyone was happy and waiting for him. Unexpectedly, the next news we heard was that company money was stolen. When we checked the surveillance, it turned out to be that colleague. Apparently, he borrowed from loan sharks. We don't know when he was discharged, but he used the keys to open the door and steal the money. I just want to say, I don't understand why he didn't sue the boss first for not having labor and health insurance, only group insurance. If he couldn't win the lawsuit, then he could borrow, although our boss is so despicable, I doubt he wouldn't win. But I heard he also has diabetes or something, which I guess isn't covered by insurance? If he was really desperate for money, I guess I could understand, though I'm curious where he found loan sharks, a place that wouldn't be near me at all.

It must be incredibly shocking and betraying to have someone you trusted do something like this. The compounding interest from loan sharks can make people lose their minds. Perhaps that was the beginning of his downfall, but regardless, illegal activities can never solve fundamental problems. Please take good care of yourself; you've been through a lot during this chaotic time.

I can't understand why people would want to borrow money at usurious rates. Even though teachers at school always taught us not to borrow money when we were kids, and our parents always warned us about it... Legal loans like personal loans and policy-backed loans are one thing. But to even borrow from loan sharks? Not borrowing that kind of money, which you absolutely must not do, is basic common sense regarding finances. Yet people still fall for it. It's a really low-level mistake 😓

My friend saw poor people and ads everywhere after she started making money, so she decided to do the same and wanted to lend money to people for interest. I thought to myself, isn't that basically running a loan shark business? She even asked if I wanted to borrow money from her, which I refused because I'd end up in debt. I'm not stupid, and I don't like her doing that. How many people in the world just copy others without thinking?
