Mutual Understanding
As a marriage goes on for a long time, what truly wears people out is often not how much they've done, but how their efforts gradually become 'expected'. It's expected that you cook. It's expected that you take care of the kids. It's expected that you earn money to support the family. But marriage is never about one person owing another. Behind every effort, there actually deserves to be a 'Thank you'. No matter how close someone is, don't take their kindness for granted. Being seen, being understood, being cherished is often more important than a simple 'I love you'.

Being taken for granted after silently giving your all can be so draining and lonely, it's truly heartbreaking. Every bit of kindness and hard work deserves to be cherished. Please remember to warm yourself first. I wish I could give you a hug, you've worked so hard.

Great post. Spouses are fundamentally equal and complementary; there's nothing that one person is inherently supposed to do over the other.

So, why get married? Building a family together became an obligation, which led to the rise of non-marriage.
