Finished eating at Xuji!

Celebrated my husband's birthday a couple of days ago and went to Xuji for dinner! 🤩 We might have booked a bit late, so our seats were quite far inside, but we could eat from 5:30 to 9:30, so we had plenty of time. Our seats were near the steaming/boiling section. The sashimi was average, but the nigiri sushi and hand rolls were good. The grilled beef and grilled Matsusaka pork were delicious! Lots of people were taking crab legs, but they kept refilling them, so they were never empty. The fried shrimp was better than at Xiangshijie, noticeably larger and more springy. The line for the teppanyaki dishes never stopped; the shrimp was good but hard to get. The chawanmushi and dobinsushi were clearly better. Other tempura items were just okay. They had alcoholic beverages, but some required payment. Many desserts contained alcohol, so be mindful. The ice cream was homemade, not store-bought, with a wide variety of flavors. It's a good place to go once in a while.
