The Step-mother and Min Sun
The stepmother made a coat for Min Sun (Min Ziqian) out of reeds (which was not warm), and a cotton-padded coat for her own son. When the father discovered this, he intended to divorce her. Min Sun knelt and pleaded, 'If mother stays, one son is cold; if mother leaves, three sons will be cold,' which moved the stepmother.
