The Chilled Fossil Pinecone Incident - Bellachi

The blizzard raged across the borders of Arke. Bellachi was lying on the snow, licking a pinecone stuck to a block of ice with his tongue, trying to melt it with his body heat. "Hey, cheapskate! You dare sell this pinecone, frozen like a grenade, for ten diamonds?" a passing adventurer roared. Bellachi yanked his head back, his tongue almost sticking to the ice. His eyes welled up with tears from the pain, but he still arrogantly pulled down his hood. "Buy it or don't! This is 'Chilled Organic High-Energy Nut.' Without my nuts, you won't even see tomorrow's sun!" The adventurer cursed but obediently handed over the diamonds. Bellachi took the gems, and like a groundhog, frantically checked their authenticity with his teeth, making a 'kaka-kaka' sound. He then shoved the pinecone at the adventurer and turned to dive into a snow cave. Just then, a loud 'crack' echoed from behind. Bellachi looked back to see the adventurer's front teeth break off as soon as they bit into the pinecone. "Damn it! My teeth!" the adventurer wailed in despair. Bellachi gasped, clutched the diamonds tightly to his chest, and screamed in terror, "All sales are final once the item leaves the counter! And don't think you can pay off your debt with that front tooth!" With that, he slid down the snowy slope like a white cannonball, tumbling and rolling.
