The Fangs of Sirius IV

Sirius IV sat on his throne, letting the rumors of his 'incompetence and foolishness' spread throughout the Kingdom of Arida. His powerful ministers looked down on him, believing him to be merely a proud puppet of a lion, and brazenly began to embezzle and plot rebellion. Until the night the rebels stormed the palace, the Prime Minister triumphantly pushed open the great hall doors. However, what awaited them was not a panicked, incompetent ruler, but the Royal Guards who had already surrounded the traitors, and Sirius IV himself, holding a golden greatsword, his eyes cold. "You… you were pretending to be foolish all along?!" The Prime Minister's face turned pale. Sirius IV let out a cold laugh, and the pressure of a lion instantly enveloped the entire hall. "If I didn't let you believe I was an incompetent fool, how could you dare to reveal all your cards at once?" That night, the rumors were completely overturned. He used years of 'incompetence' as bait to eradicate all corruption in the kingdom in one fell swoop. Only then did his subjects realize that their king was not a sheep, but a true lion who had endured with deep patience.
