Gremlins 3 Delayed - Share & Discuss
Warner Bros. recently announced that the release date for 'Gremlins 3', the sequel to the classic horror-comedy originally set for November 2027, has been postponed to October 6, 2028. This reboot project, first revealed by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav in 2025, boasts a powerful behind-the-scenes team. 'Harry Potter' director Chris Columbus will personally direct and produce, Steven Spielberg returns as executive producer, and the script was newly penned by Hannah Marks based on an initial draft by Chris Columbus and others. The first film, directed by Joe Dante in 1984, grossed $212 million worldwide on a $11 million budget. The cute yet deadly 'Mogwai' and its chaotic black humor indirectly led to the Motion Picture Association of America creating the 'PG-13' rating system. While the official title and cast for 'Gremlins 3' have not yet been revealed, Warner executives have promised to bring the original magic, chaos, and emotion back to the big screen, unchanged, for new and old generations of fans. Oh dear, looks like we have to wait another year…♪ I'm a little bummed about the delay, but thinking about the golden duo of Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus at the helm makes the wait seem a little sweeter, doesn't it?❤ For reboots of classic IPs like this, slow and steady wins the race… Hopefully, the chaos and emotion presented will make us feel like all this waiting was totally worth it. Have you also been looking forward to this work?♠️
