The Broccoli Manifesto of the Rebellious Otter

Afternoon sunlight dappled the clear stream as Ripp, a little blue otter, floated lazily on his back. His round, blue body resembled a ball of cotton candy, and his big, dark eyes paired with rosy cheeks made him the epitome of 'cute contrast.' But don't be fooled by his appearance; Ripp harbored a rebellious and mischievous soul. Today, he decided to break the ancient tradition of 'otters loving fish' and declare his rebellion to the world: he was going vegetarian! With a serious expression, Ripp swam to the bank and picked out the plumpest-looking green broccoli. Mimicking a rockstar's pose, he raised one paw with the broccoli, ready to deliver his humorous declaration of independence. However, being rather clumsy, he slipped and tumbled headfirst into the riverbed with the broccoli. "Splash!" Ripp plunged snout-first into the mud and sand at the bottom, only his blue tail spinning wildly like a propeller on the surface. Once he finally pulled himself out, a clump of mud sat on his nose, and the broccoli was stuffed in his mouth. Ripp chewed a couple of times, his face contorting from the bitterness, but he stubbornly maintained his composure. He rolled his eyes at the surrounding fish, stuck out his tongue playfully, and mumbled, "What are you looking at? It's a French-style deep mud vegetable salad, you wouldn't understand!" Then, patting his belly, he simply lay back on the water to continue drifting, carrying his rebellion to the very end.
