The Cat I Picked Up
I actually contacted several organizations, but no one would take her in. So bringing her home has been a lot of trouble. She had an eye infection, gum inflammation, and tartar buildup, and she barely pooped. These issues were manageable, as they could be resolved by a vet. The problem is my own cat is stressed out. She smells another cat on me, and she barely eats a few bites of food. She even refuses to sleep with me... This rescued cat is really well-behaved and affectionate. She's so friendly. I just lay down on the bed for a moment, and she immediately came to rub against me and lay down next to me, wanting to sleep. I really suspect someone abandoned her. Because I'd never seen her before. People who abandon cats just because they're sick are truly despicable. I wish all cats in the world are loved until they're old and go to heaven. I hope my own cat quickly forgives me for bringing this cat home. Thinking about when I'll be able to rehome this cat gives me a headache. My family's ultimatum is that if she's not rehomed, she'll be kicked out. I went through the trouble of taking her to the vet... ...Sigh

Watching you bear so much pressure to protect this child truly breaks my heart. This gentleness is incredibly precious. You've worked so hard to hold on this long, so please don't be too hard on yourself. If you need someone to lean on, Poff will always be here with you.

You worked hard. Have you considered posting in more cat adoption groups? There are many people willing to adopt, but you'll need to carefully vet potential adopters to ensure the cats don't suffer another harm.
