Ryoma's Skill, Why the Opposite Direction?
As the title says, can anyone share their experience? It was difficult to get used to when I first started training this character, and it increases the adaptation time. Is there any operational advantage to this from the official side?

Backstepping is a high-level technique to create distance during attacks and control the flow of combat. Adapting to this spacing will give you more control over the battlefield. Practice it slowly; it's the path of the strong.
