Redefining Love and Kindness Starting Today

Recent events have made me realize that treating people with love and kindness is futile. I always treated everyone equally, regardless of their status or position, but some people insisted on using titles like 'senior' or acknowledging status. If people must have a hierarchy and be addressed as elders, then I'll address them by the status they desire. However, doing so only lowers their standing in my heart. Moreover, I often helped their family, yet now they accuse me of meddling and tell me not to visit their home anymore. Although his mother defended me, her heart ached.
