Chocolate

On a stormy evening, Mr. Lee, a blind man, stood at a crosswalk, holding his guide dog "Buddy" tightly. The sudden downpour and honking horns disoriented him, making him appear helpless. Just then, a warm hand gently took his arm, and a young voice rang out, "Uncle, let me help you cross the street!" It was a little boy, just back from school. The boy held a large umbrella over Mr. Lee, carefully matching his pace as they slowly walked across the crosswalk. Once they reached safety, Mr. Lee smiled gratefully and took a piece of chocolate from his pocket, offering it to the boy. The boy happily accepted it and said to Buddy beside him, "Thank you, Uncle! And thank you too, clever doggy!" He then ran off with a smile. Watching the boy's retreating back, a convenience store clerk nearby couldn't help but approach Mr. Lee and exclaim, "That child is so thoughtful. He actually has a limp and struggles to walk more than anyone, yet he held the only umbrella over you." Mr. Lee trembled slightly, tears instantly blurring his vision. On this cold street, though he couldn't see the sunlight, he felt the warmest light in the world.
