Okinawa Self-Drive Trip - Onna Village Fireworks Edition🎆

It's the National Day holiday, so let's start by sharing Okinawa's fireworks show~~ Every year in early October, Onna Village in Okinawa hosts the lively 'Onna Festival (うんなまつり)' and the spectacular 'Churaumi Fireworks Festival (美ら海花火大会)'. This two-day autumn celebration perfectly blends Okinawan traditional culture with a vacation vibe. The venue features a powerful Ryukyu traditional drum dance (EISA) and exciting band performances, as well as a dazzling array of local food stalls, allowing you to stroll and savor authentic Okinawan snacks and beer. In the evening, thousands of fireworks are launched into the sky to the rhythm of moving music, creating an ultimate interplay of light and shadow in the dark night sky! Giant fireworks bloom layer by layer, adorning the entire night sky with brilliance and dazzling beauty. The romance level is off the charts💕. The fireworks are set off by the coast, and for safety reasons, the beach is blocked off, so you can't sit on the sand to watch. Therefore, we walked towards the area closest to the sea to find a viewing spot. We were lucky enough to meet some enthusiastic locals who shared their picnic mat, and we sat together, chatting and watching the fireworks show~. Viewing Tips: Admission is free. It's recommended to arrive around 5 PM. You can bring a picnic mat to sit and enjoy the sunset while savoring food from the stalls. If the queues at the stalls are too long, you can also buy food from a nearby Lawson and enjoy it back at the venue. After the event, traffic around the area can be heavy. If you are staying at a hotel in the Onna Village area, you can elegantly walk back to your room and avoid the traffic jams. The event has now ended.
