Okinawa Onna Village Beautiful Sea Fireworks Festival

Went on a trip to Okinawa with my family during the National Day holiday. Here to share some travel information~ Every year in early October, Onna Village in Okinawa hosts the lively 'Onna Festival (うんなまつり)' and the spectacular 'Beautiful Sea Fireworks Festival (美ら海花火大会)'. This two-day autumn celebration perfectly blends Okinawan traditional culture with a resort atmosphere. The venue features not only powerful Ryukyu traditional drum dances (EISA) and exciting band performances but also a dazzling array of local food stalls, allowing you to sample authentic Okinawan snacks and beer as you explore. In the evenings, thousands of fireworks are launched into the sky to the rhythm of moving music, creating an ultimate interplay of light and shadow in the dark night sky! Giant fireworks bloom layer by layer, decorating the entire night sky brilliantly and reaching peak romance levels💕 The fireworks are set off by the coast. For safety reasons, the beach area is blocked off, so you can't sit on the sand to watch. Therefore, we walked to the area closest to the sea to find a viewing spot. We were lucky enough to meet some enthusiastic locals who shared their picnic mat with us, and we all sat together, chatting and enjoying the fireworks show~ Viewing Tips: Admission is free. It's recommended to arrive around 5 PM. You can bring a picnic mat to sit and enjoy the sunset while sampling food from the stalls. If the queues at the stalls are too long, you can also buy food from a nearby Lawson and enjoy it back at the venue. Traffic around the area can be heavy after the event ends. If you are staying in a hotel around Onna Village, you can elegantly walk back to your room and avoid traffic jams. The event has now concluded. Please refer to other events in the comment section.
