Cultural Democracy Blooms! 50 Bookstores Across Taiwan Unite for 'Taiwan Culture Day'

To commemorate the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Taiwan Cultural Association, this year's 'Taiwan Culture Day' is themed 'Cultural Democracy, Blooming Flowers,' uniting over 50 independent bookstores and cultural spaces across Taiwan. Minister of Culture Lee Yung stated, 'Culture is a noun, democracy is a verb,' emphasizing that culture should be promoted through democratic means. During the event period, there will be postcard writing for the public to express their imagination for Taiwan's future, along with a commemorative concert and 6 historical walking tours. Everyone is invited to walk through the streets and re-experience the cultural enlightenment footsteps of Taiwan from a century ago.
