In the Age of Artificial Intelligence, How Do We Preserve Human Value?
In recent years, artificial intelligence has developed rapidly. From writing, drawing, and translation to medical diagnosis and autonomous driving, AI has deeply integrated into our daily lives. While it brings convenience, it also sparks many controversies: Will AI replace human jobs? Does creativity still have originality? How should personal data and privacy be protected? These questions are not just technological issues but social challenges that everyone must consider. First, AI's greatest advantage is enhancing efficiency. Students can use it to organize data and check grammar; office workers can quickly create reports and analyze data; medical institutions can use AI to assist in interpreting images and detect diseases early. For regions with limited resources, AI may even narrow the gap in education and healthcare, providing more people with services that were previously difficult to access. Therefore, completely rejecting AI is unrealistic; the key lies in how to utilize it well. However, AI also presents severe challenges. The most direct issue is the impact on employment: repetitive jobs with clear rules, such as customer service, data entry, some translation, and administrative tasks, may gradually be replaced by automation. If society does not provide timely vocational training and transition support, the wealth gap could widen. Furthermore, AI-generated fake photos, videos, and news make it harder to distinguish between real and fake information, affecting public discourse and democratic trust. What deserves more attention is 'human value.' When AI can write articles, create art, and compose music, does human creation still have meaning? I believe AI can imitate styles and combine data, but truly moving works often stem from life experiences, emotions, and choices.
