SCP-129 - Progressive Fungal Infection
Item #: SCP-129 Object Class: Keter Special Containment Procedures: SCP-129 is widespread throughout the globe and infects countless human and animal subjects daily. As such, containment objectives should focus on the treatment of infected individuals and the eradication of SCP-129's constituent species. Despite at least 98% of the global population possessing natural immunity to one or more species of SCP-129, any instances of the contagion reaching Stage 3 or higher should be contained with utmost haste, with infected individuals being quarantined under the highest risk level contagion protocols. See Document #129-A-1 for further information. Description: SCP-129 is a collection of ██ fungal species capable of infecting the mucous membranes of any animal. Infections caused by SCP-129 progress through five distinct stages (dependent on exposure to further constituent species of SCP-129, individual resistance, and other factors), with each stage weakening the affected subject's resistance to ensure the spread of the next stage of infection.
