Mazu's Reach is Unbelievable! 'Myriad Manifestations: Empress of Heaven' Special Exhibition Debuts, Precious 1800-Year-Old Mirac

The National Museum of Taiwan History is launching the 'Myriad Manifestations: Taiwanese Mazu Belief Culture Special Exhibition' starting today. Mazu doesn't just bless sailors; she appears in everything from environmental protection and healthcare to pride parades, jokingly referred to as the 'Prime Minister.' The exhibition gathers sacred objects from temples across Taiwan. The biggest highlight is the first-ever complete display in Taiwan of seven 'Mazu Miraculous Event Illustrations,' dating back to around 1800, from the collection of the Rijksmuseum in the Netherlands. The exhibition runs until May 16, 2027.
