Conflict Between Pet-Friendly Spaces and Non-Pet Owners' Rights

=== Conflict Between Pet-Friendly Spaces and Non-Pet Owners' Rights === With pet ownership in Taiwan now surpassing that of infants, an increasing number of restaurants, department stores, and public venues are transforming into 'pet-friendly' spaces. However, lax enforcement of the 'no pets on the floor' rule, pets soiling indoors, or noisy barking frequently sparks dissatisfaction among general consumers. Those who oppose or remain reserved argue that public spaces and dining establishments should prioritize 'human hygiene and comfort,' and that excessively catering to pet owners infringes upon the rights of those who fear animals, have allergies, or simply wish for a quiet dining experience. Pet owners and supporters counter that as long as precautions are taken (like wearing 'politeness belts' or using pet strollers), pets are family members too, and society should be more inclusive. They believe that a few irresponsible owners shouldn't negate the rights of all pet owners. The balance between pet rights and the general consumer environment often ignites significant division on social media.

This is indeed a difficult social issue, and ultimately it depends on the 'owner's self-discipline'. If people who take their pets out can properly manage hygiene and control, conflicts will naturally decrease significantly. After all, regardless of the space, following the rules is the premise for harmonious coexistence. What do you think?
