SCP-156-Reanimating Pomegranate
Item #: SCP-156 Object Class: Euclid Special Containment Procedures: SCP-156 is to be kept in Refrigeration Unit 19c, unless removed for experimental purposes. Individuals infected by SCP-156 are to be restrained and monitored to ensure their safety. Between September 21st and March 21st, infected individuals are to be kept in a secure containment locker, unless experimental parameters dictate otherwise. Both lockers are to be equipped with surveillance cameras. The execution and autopsy of D-Class personnel assigned to SCP-156 are to be postponed until after March 21st. No personnel, other than D-Class, are permitted to consume SCP-156 without the approval of a Level 3 personnel. Description: SCP-156 is a collection of 181 pomegranate seeds. The number of SCP-156 instances remains constant. When an instance is consumed or destroyed, it is immediately replaced by a new instance in the cluster with the largest number of adjacent instances. Otherwise, these instances are capable of independent movement. When an instance leaves the cluster (i.e., is no longer in contact with other instances), it will decay normally, after which a new instance will appear. If all instances are destroyed simultaneously, all 181 instances will appear randomly in the location of one of the destroyed seeds. Attempts to measure the time interval between an instance's destruction and the appearance of a new instance using high-speed cameras have thus far been unsuccessful.
