Designation: SCP-1009-RU Class: Keter Special Containment Procedures: As SCP-1009 cannot be directly contained, all possible efforts must be made to minimize its effects. To this end, the following activities should be carried out in the largest Christian churches worldwide, in cooperation with local administrative and law enforcement agencies: Surveillance systems must be installed in church buildings that do not yet have them. All relevant footage will be transmitted to the SCP Foundation's duty control console. The buildings must also be equipped with a remote-controlled tear gas system. An alarm will automatically sound when sounds exceeding 100 decibels are detected, alerting personnel to suspicious activity by SCP-1009. If the appearance of SCP-1009 is confirmed, duty personnel must immediately activate the tear gas system to evacuate civilians from the church as quickly as possible. All witnesses to SCP-1009 will be interrogated and undergo programmed memory erasure to remove events inconsistent with the legend. All evidence contradicting the legend and sparking interest in the anomalous aspects of the event must be removed or refuted by other relevant cognitions.
