Finally received the Google Play mission reward

The mission was clearly completed, but the Google Play Store mission progress never updated to 'completed'. The description said it could take up to 24 hours, so I decided to wait, but after two days, I felt something was wrong. Later, in the game's settings (gear icon), I logged into my Google account, uploaded cloud data, and authorized Play Games services. I'm not sure which step was the key, but after doing all of them, I leveled up in the game, completed a few orders, and cleared some main story quests. Finally, the mission progress updated and completed, and I received the reward. Hope this helps other players facing the same issue. I almost gave up 🫠.
