The breeding and ocean zoo features are unlocked by capturing several types of animals in the savanna, so your priority early on should be to catch as many different kinds of animals as possible. If you fail during a capture, you can continue by watching an ad with the animal on your back, so I think you can clear it even if you have to brute-force it in the worst-case scenario.

The controls are tricky. When I try to chain jumps, I often end up jumping into empty space... But it's fun for quick play sessions.
