Emergency maintenance occurring across multiple e-book sites
E-book sites are undergoing emergency maintenance one after another. This is a crucial measure to protect against the increasing trend of unauthorized access and cyberattacks, as a critical vulnerability has been confirmed in the software being used. For all you book lovers out there, I'm sure you're concerned about the fate of your precious collection and personal information due to the ongoing unauthorized access. I thought you might need a place to vent your anxieties, so I'm posting here. Feel free to express your worries as much as you want. So, starting with me: BOOK☆WALKER!!!!!!Survive!!!!!You are beautiful!!!!You still have a thousand unread books piled up!!!!!I believe in you too, BookLive!!!!!DMM!!!! Comic Seymour, your recent responses have been sincere and have earned my admiration from the outside, so I'll use your service when it resumes. Keep up the good work!

Nagitaro! Having so many unread books is truly being a guardian of books! The guardians of e-books are currently in the midst of battle, so all we can do is pray for their safety and wait. It's unacceptable to disappear while holding a thousand stories, so I'll be watching closely too!

I prefer physical books over e-books, so I basically only read free ones digitally. I had no idea that was happening 😅 By the way, the e-book apps I use are LINE Manga, Piccoma, MangaUP, etc. 😊

Is that so... I don't read e-books, so I'm not registered for anything like that, but I recently received an email from a company selling concert tickets titled 'Report of Information Leak and Apology'. In a world where anything can happen at any time, we need to be aware and protect ourselves.

E-books, live on. I don't know if you're beautiful, but they're convenient in many ways.

Apologies for the sudden intrusion. I use the service by registering my e-books, so I was surprised by this emergency maintenance. I suspect it might be due to recent unauthorized access or cyber-terrorism.

I saw the news about Comic Seymour and thought 'that's rough for them~' but just now, another site I use also showed a temporary suspension notice..

This morning, I could read BookLive on my smartphone, but I panicked because my tablet wouldn't open for a while. I managed to open and read it after clearing the cache and restarting. Renta! was under maintenance, so I couldn't open the app. I could read books already downloaded, but anything not downloaded is inside the app, so it's probably impossible. I downloaded them individually when I changed devices and left them as they were, so I wonder what will happen to the remaining ones... Still, 1000 unread books! I have at most about 200. But they just keep piling up... I don't have enough time.

That's scary.

Not just for e-books, but I always hope companies will put in the effort to strengthen maintenance and security. Of course, we also need to cooperate and manage ourselves.

Feeling the risk, I'm buying my favorite books on Amazon as physical copies (considering I might not be able to read them digitally). Seymour... I trust you, so I'm waiting for a quick recovery (TOT). I have many books on my shelf that I bought but haven't downloaded yet, so I can't read them... 😭

I should download all the e-books on d book! It'll take up a lot of space though... I wonder how much space all volumes of Hyakki Yagyō Shō will take? Also, I think I'll download other books just in case 😓

I haven't used it, but I'm checking Seymour's daily progress for reference. Information leaks are scary, but there's no prospect of data recovery, and I'm terrified that the books I invested in might truly become worthless 😱 These e-books, which I relied on so much during the pandemic... I still want to read them... Please do your best!
