Following the announcement of a vulnerability related to 'PHP' used in "Touken Ranbu ONLINE," an emergency maintenance will be conducted starting today at 22:00 JST for system security. At present, no damage caused by the exploitation of this vulnerability or data leakage of users has been confirmed. The maintenance end time is undecided, and we will report progress around 10:00 AM on October 22nd (Thursday). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Due to the recent discovery of the cause of hacking-related vulnerabilities, maintenance addressing this is planned for many services beyond Touken Ranbu. Just to add, the official fix for this issue will be released at 11 PM Japan time, so places using PHP should start addressing it from then. For context on how serious this is: by following specific steps, one can gain access to the server and perform various actions, such as: Stealing customer information via that server. Launching attacks from that server to other companies' servers or placing attack programs. Creating a backdoor to access that server (even after fixing the PHP issue, the backdoor can still be used for the above). This is the kind of vulnerability that requires immediate disconnection for anyone other than operational staff as soon as the issue is publicly disclosed...
