Aiming for a New Professor Title

Tritonian, I choose you! It's quite sturdy, so it'll be good to use as a flawed Rotom. Currently at 63 wins.

Charge Moves

Moves like Fly, Dig, Dive, and Phantom Force that require a turn to charge before attacking. While you're not left defenseless, they make it easy for opponents to counter, so I think they're almost never used in battles. Dig, in particular, takes double damage from Earthquake, making it pretty much a losing move.

Double Battle

The combination of Yes-Man and Mega Audino is too strong. If you can sweep the Pokémon you missed with any Pokémon, you can win. Are there any good Pokémon for sweeping?

Rating 2000!

Actually, I was at 1700 this morning, so I really boosted it. This is my second time reaching 2000 rating as a working adult. Last time also featured Chandelure, Garchomp, and Toxapex. Mega Garchomp Z is still strong, applying pressure in both head-to-head and cycle matchups.

MegaGarchompZ and 1900!

Feels good Half the team changed from the start, but it's easier to move than when I was hovering around 1600, so I'm happy My buddy is in the 3-digit ranks, so I don't want to lose and want to stay in the 4-digit ranks

The AD Emboar Build

Adamant H2A32D32. Unbelievable bulk and decent power. This thing can actually take a Hydro Pump from a Specs Primarina or a Hurricane from a Specs Mega Salamence for sure. It's insane. With its amazing movepool and power, I feel like it can't lose against special attackers. Personally, I think Emboar deserves to be used more. *This build can easily faint from its own recoil damage or from common physical attackers' Earthquake, so if you're looking for versatility, a standard H32A32B or 2 in D would be stronger.

Pokémon that would go wild if implemented

Dondozo with Water Absorb type can strongly counter Greninja or Feraligatr, and with Oblivious type, it's advantageous against stat-boosting attackers. Togekiss's usual Para-flinch strategy is strong. Breloom (or rather, Shroomish line) becomes a nuisance just by being hit with Spore, so it needs to be taken down quickly. And Flutter Mane, you're a no-go.

This is the trigger

As a result of starting Champions (Pokémon Masters EX), I've been getting back into Pokémon lately, starting with SV which I hadn't touched in a while, and even buying FireRed. Of course, I can enjoy myself enough with just the scout Pokémon within Champions, but for some reason, I felt like pulling out my partners again lol

Knockback Moves

Roar, Dragon Tail, Whirlwind… anything else? Moves like those, if you teach them to fast Pokémon, their speed advantage gets ruined because of the -6 priority. So it's better to teach them to slow Pokémon. For example… in Champions, good candidates to learn Dragon Tail would be Dragalge, Steelix, Baxcalibur, Golem, or Ampharos. Steelix and Golem seem like they'd take hits from physical attackers and then deliver a big blow. Ampharos only has a weakness to Ground-types and has decent firepower. Among the ones I listed, Dragalge has the lowest firepower, but it's still 75 base Attack, so it's not unusable. …Though its defenses are the real issue, aren't they…
