This is my first post. Nice to meet you all. I have many favorite books, but what I'm really looking forward to right now is the long-awaited new release in "The Twelve Kingdoms" series, "The Shore of the幽冥". Are there any other fans of "The Twelve Kingdoms" series out there?

I've joined! Let me introduce a manga right away... -The Daily Life of a Torture Intern- A world where murder and torture have been legalized. This is the story of 4 people working part-time at a famous torture company, "Spiritus." "It's a torture business, so it must be scary, right?" If you thought that, you're wrong. While there's some blood depicted, it's fundamentally a comedy. It's packed with interesting parts, featuring characters involved with Spiritus and those who were involved in the past. It's formatted like a 4-panel manga, making it easy to read. There are currently 8 volumes out, so please give it a read!

It's a manga. Recently, volume 6 came out, so I reread it from volume 1. It was a light read and good for a change of pace. The main character, a girl, works hard, which cheers me up.

Have you ever had trouble with your shoes? I think many women, in particular, worry about their shoes. When I first joined my company as a new graduate, I wore pumps for the first time, but I got blisters and my feet hurt every day, which was truly agonizing. I quit that company, but it left me with a strong aversion to shoes, to the point where I seriously worried during my job search, 'I'd prefer a place where I don't have to wear pumps anymore.' Incidentally, I still hate pumps and high heels so much that it's a criterion for changing jobs. As someone who dislikes shoes, I'd like to introduce two books. First, the first book: 'Are Those Shoes Painful?' by Yasuki Nishimura, is a book that addresses such pressing shoe concerns and questions. You're sure to have an 'aha!' moment with the easy-to-understand 'How to Choose Shoes' section. And the second book: 'Wherever the Shoe Takes Me' This is a heartwarming work-life manga by Aki Miyabi, about a pure and innocent female shoemaker who interacts with various people she meets at the shoe store she inherited from her mother. The insights into shoemaking are interesting, so I highly recommend reading it. A story about someone who hated shoes learning to love them.

I also love mystery novels, and I have many favorite authors like Jiro Akagawa, Kyotaro Nishimura, Misa Yamamura, Seiichi Morimura, Yasuo Uchida, and so on! ✨

I usually just read light novels. Sometimes I read manga too. Nice to meet you all.

The mockumentary horror "蓋ヶ瀬" from official "Rurubu" was released the other day. Mockumentary horror is trending lately, but I never expected it from official "Rurubu". The content is really interesting, covering various media like magazines, interviews, bulletin boards, video sites, and comment sections.

My favorite books are the "Onjuku Kawasemi" series by Yumie Hiraiwa 😊

About half a year ago, a friend recommended Sayaka Murata's "Convenience Store Woman" and "Killing Reproduction," saying, "It's a kowai hito novel." I'll never forget the shock I felt then. I thought, 'Is that what kowai hito means…!?' But it's true that the creepiness and fear in those novels come from people... Personally, I like "Triple" and "Killing Reproduction."

A work by Nahoko Uehashi, the author of "The Beast Player" and "The Guardian of the Spirit." I bought it just by the cover without knowing that, but I was drawn into the world from the very beginning. Uehashi-san is amazing for creating fantasy works with unique worldviews. I can't write any impressions yet because I haven't finished reading it! But I wanted to recommend it for now!
