By Sakari Yuba It's SF. Should I say it's by the author of "Yokohama Station SF"? It's a collection of short stories about people living stoically within a bizarre setting. The cover illustration by Keiichi Arai is also a subtle high point. Highly recommend.

A Japanese fantasy with a mystery twist centered around antique kimonos. "Shimogamo Antique" This is a series by Konko Shirakawa, the author of "Karasu wa Garasu no Nakama" (The Crow is a Friend of the Crow). The biggest charm is, first and foremost, the wonderful depiction of antique kimonos!! Beautiful, cute, comical, and elegant. This is a series I'd recommend to anyone who likes kimonos. If you like Kyoto, if you like antiques, if you like kimonos, if you like stories featuring special family lines, if you like couples that are heartwarming just to look at, if you like happy endings, if you were born into a former noble family... If even one of the keywords listed above appeals to you, you should definitely read it. It's also a novel where the couples written by Shirakawa-sensei are just incredibly cute. The romance of the protagonist, Kano-chan, is also cute. How Kano-chan's parents met is also cute. How Kano-chan's grandparents met is also cute. Personally, the story of how her grandparents met really made my heart flutter! So cute!

In the final round of the quiz show "Q-1 Grand Prix" with a grand prize of 10 million yen, Mijima Reo and Honjo Kizuna face the final question tied at 6-6. "The question is—." "Mom, it's Cleaning Onodera." Even though not a single character of the question had been read, Honjo answered correctly. When the show ends, one quiz remains. "Why could Honjo Kizuna correctly answer a quiz whose question wasn't read even a single character?" Was it rigged, magic, or something else…? This is not just a mystery, but a moving story that delves into humanity. If you've ever been told you overthink things, this story might offer some solace. After reading the newly written short story "My Quiz" included in the paperback, the lingering feelings deepened even further, so I highly recommend reading them together!

I've read quite a few historical novels, but I think it's rare to find a work that fits "it actually happened this way!" without altering historical facts as much as this one. The protagonist is a single fox throughout the entire story. After rigorous training, it gains magical powers and calls itself "Byakko Ma-gan" (White Fox Magic Pill). The story depicts historical turning points and the lives of key figures from the fox's perspective. Since Byakko Ma-gan is, after all, a fox, the gap in values with human society is portrayed. You can almost hear its grumbling, "Humans are so foolish," and "Why do they do such stupid things so seriously?" It truly embodies the attitude of "If I hate someone, I hate them completely! No matter how powerful, if I don't like it, I don't like it!" However, conversely, for humans it likes, it will desperately put its own life on the line to fulfill their dying wishes, all while saying, "What fools they are." Won't you take a bird's-eye view of history through the eyes of a long-lived fox?

A work by Norio Gojo An homage to Osamu Dazai's "Run, Melos!" that forcibly incorporates a murder case to make it a mystery. 【Melos, grumbling all the way, deduced in order to save his best friend who had taken his place.】 Melos must travel to and from his hometown and the capital in three days to save his friend, Philostratus. However, on the eve of his sister's wedding, the groom's father is murdered. The scene is a locked-room mystery in a sheep pen, accessible only by him and his sister. Wanting to return to the capital quickly, Melos decides to solve this case in a hurry... Along the way, he gets caught up in numerous murder cases, muttering his way through deductions. Run, Melos! Go, Melos!! Will you really make it in time like this!? And the shocking truth awaiting him in the capital! A masterpiece that I want to reread many times (≧∇≦)

This is Mikisyouko-sensei's 'Imperial Capital Detective Picture' series. It's a buddy story about a talented magazine reporter and a beautiful, genius artist, whom they met through Sherlock Holmes. The detective role is played by the serious magazine reporter. It's a mystery that is gentle and full of nostalgia throughout, where no one dies. It's a story of human affection, and also a historical novel. Since it's a collection of short stories, it's easy to read, so I recommend it.

Ohohohoho!!! It's me, a hardcore otaku lady who's printing her very first book!! Since it was my first time publishing, I decided to use Tsukuyomi-sama, who's known for being beginner-friendly! I made an unbelievable mistake of writing the wrong postscript and actual title on the manuscript I had already submitted!!!!! I was sweating bullets, seriously. I had to ask if they could replace the already submitted file, and I uploaded the replacement data feeling like I was bowing down in apology. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate me. I truly can't thank them enough!!!! Everyone, if you're printing a book, please use Doujinshi publisher Tsukuyomi, Doujinshi publisher Tsukuyomi-sama!!!! P.S. I also recommend PrintOn-san!! They have lots of services and you can even make novelty items together!! It was your hardcore otaku lady!!! OOOOHOHOHOHO!!!

Miyazawa Misato - Staff at Tomoe City Hall Cut ties with her family and became an Onmyoji on her own. Actually whispered to be the "Serpent Eater of Narukami." Kano Reiji - Freelance Exorcist Has no childhood memories, claims to have been found by a Tengu and raised by a mountain ascetic. Hides his perceptive eyes behind sunglasses. Due to circumstances, these two lonely individuals meet, confront strange phenomena with their unique powers, and eventually draw others in to challenge a greater threat. There are many moments that make you go "Whoa!" but also plenty of humorous ones. Everyone is different, and I think life would be easier if we had the heart to acknowledge and accept that.

By Yuichi Hiranaaka It's not a super mainstream novel, but it's one I really love. It's the kind of book that makes you feel like you're suddenly reliving those teenage feelings as an adult.
